Steve Hayes and Friends: The Once in a Lifetime Non-Workshop Workshop
Three days in a room with Steve while the cameras roll. No CE credits, no fixed script, and a lot more fun than a workshop is supposed to be.
What this is
Come see how the sausage gets made — and help us make it.
We're filming our next generation of online courses, starting with a rebuilt ACT in Practice, and we'd rather do it with a live room than an empty studio. So we're opening the doors.
Steve will teach where ACT is headed: process-based therapy, the idiographic turn, and how to fit what you do to the one person in front of you. He'll do it live, with a camera crew and with you.
Our promise: This is going to be a lot of fun! So please come join us and be a part of what we are creating.
What will happen
Three days, very loosely planned
Steve teaching, with room to follow the good tangents.
Real plays on stage, and you may be invited up to do one with Steve.
ACT games, songs, and innovative tools, plus Aikido-style movement between sessions to keep everyone awake.
Steve and Spencer in conversation about what the Institute is building next.
Open Q&A to close each day, and Steve stays until the questions run out!
Why “non-workshop”
There are no CE credits.
That frees us to change the plan that morning, spend an hour on one good question, and try things we've never tried in front of an audience. Some of it will be brilliant and some of it will be outtakes. You'll see both.
Come for as long as you like
Friday through Sunday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
Though Q&A may drift on some from there. Come for all three days, one afternoon, or whatever you can manage.
What it costs
No ticket price. A values-based contribution.
Your contribution goes to the Institute for Better Health, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to support our work in creating an alternative to the DSM. We recommend $200, which barely covers the cost of the food, so give more if you can.
If $200 is out of reach, no problem! Give what you can and come anyway! But you do have to register. Professionals and non-professionals are welcome.
