 Reconsidering Trauma:
Treatment Advances, Relational Issues, and Mindfulness
 in Integrated Trauma Therapy

BRI90-1_Page_1Those familiar with Dr. Briere’s work know him to combine compassion and sensitivity with the newest information on empirically and phenomenologically-informed treatment approaches to psychological trauma. Based on his latest book, Principles of Trauma Therapy(2006),co-authored with Catherine Scott,MD, this new workshop provides cutting-edge,directly-applicable information on the integration of cognitive-behavioral, attachment, relational, and physiological approachesto trauma.

This workshop presents new material that formally integrates Buddhist philosophy and empirically-based mindfulness approaches with effective trauma treatment. Also included is new information on interview based assessment, cross-cultural issues, psychosis, stress reduction training, clinician “counter-activation,” and the neurobiology and psychopharmacology of trauma.

Long awaited by attendees of his previous successful workshop series for IAHB, this new presentation takes trauma theory and treatment to an even more
advanced level.

Workshop Information                                                                                        

Check-in begins at 7:45 am and the workshop hours are 8:30 am - 4:00 PM with an hour lunch on your own from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM and two fifteen minute breaks.
