Edward Hallowell, M.D.Edward (Ned) Hallowell, M.D., is a child and adult psychiatrist and the founder of The Hallowell Center for Cognitive and Emotional Health in Concord, MA. He is also on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, and is a dynamic presenter with a delightful sense of humor who creates an interactive, entertaining workshop format.

Dr. Hallowell has authored seven books on various psychological topics, including problems with attention, focus, stress, and worry. His national bestsellers, Driven to Distraction and Answers to Distraction, discuss Attention Deficit Disorder in children and adults. His most recent book, Worry: Hope and Help for a Common Problem, looks at worry in both its constructive and destructive forms, and gives practical advice on how to control toxic worry.

Dr. Hallowell has also completed a program on managing worry for the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) that was shown on PBS stations around the country all throughout 1999. He has appeared on such national television shows as “20/20”, “The Today Show”, “Dateline”, “Oprah”, “Good Morning America”and “The View”.

Known for his ability to engage audiences and keep his material fresh, Dr. Hallowell draws on more than 20 years of clinical and research experience to provide a blend of scientific information, case studies, and useful strategies and techniques for diagnosing and treating these frequently encountered clinical problems.
